News for Texas Lobbyists

It is clear ERCOT is facing challenges onboarding new large loads to the Texas electrical system over the next several years. Will McAdams and other industry leaders hosted two symposiums with the University of Texas that brought together key stakeholders during two meetings in July and October that identified challenges to the existing system of large load integration. UT in concert with our organizations helped develop and publish two reports on consensus positions adopted during each symposium. Stakeholders at the meetings included all trade association representing loads, generation, and wires in addition to technical representatives from our largest TDUs, hyper-scaler loads, and chip manufacturers. ERCOT and PUC were present as well as technical experts from other national grid management and research organizations.

If you are interested in learning more about the transforming grid constraints and the ways for Texas to stay #1 in the nation for economic development, please check out these two reports.
